Four startups. One exit. Now I build agents.
I'm a founder who codes — which is a different animal from an engineer who takes tickets. I started my first company in 2015 and haven't stopped since: four of them, one sold, three closed with my own hands. Everything I know about building software, I learned by having to sell the thing afterwards.
LabCloud was the one that worked. Diagnostic labs here ran on paper registers and WhatsApp; I built them a cloud LIMS, sold it into 30+ working laboratories, and sold the company in 2019. It runs today as HealthCloud, serving 70+ clients under its new owners — who came back in 2024 as a client of mine and bought Chatify from me too.
The ones that didn't work taught me more. Artistica was an attempt to bring Karachi's Pakistan Chowk — a dense, physical bazaar of small printers and makers — online as a marketplace. The software was the easy part; liquidity was the real problem, and I never solved it. Orion gave teenagers gaming NFTs and split what they earned. The model worked until November 2022, when the crypto crash cut earnings by roughly 99% overnight. My unit economics never broke — the asset underneath them did. I shut it down rather than string anyone along.
Now I build agentic AI: agents, voice AI, and sovereign systems that reason, act, and get real work done. I take them the whole way — agent logic, tool integrations, the backend underneath, and the product people actually use. The most recent was TalkifAI, which took you from idea to a working voice agent in minutes; I wound it down in 2026 and now build agentic systems for clients instead.
The client work runs across healthcare, government, e-commerce, and legal services, in the US, Ireland, and Pakistan — a voice agent for a US dental startup wired into its practice management system, a listing and imaging pipeline for a Dublin Amazon seller, an emergency health service for the Sindh government. I also spent a year teaching 700+ studentsPython, TypeScript, FastAPI, and Next.js at PIAIC, Pakistan's national AI and cloud computing programme.
What the founder years actually bought me: I know which corners cost you later, I ship before it's perfect, and I don't hand you a demo and call it a product. I also care a great deal about systems you own — because I've watched a business evaporate when the thing underneath it belonged to someone else.

Experience
AI Engineer · Freelance & Contract
2023 — PresentBuild AI agents, voice AI systems, and backend automation for clients across healthcare, government, e-commerce, and legal services — agent logic, integrations, backend, and deployment. Custom API and webhook integrations connect LLM agents to existing business software, replacing expensive off-the-shelf automation with systems clients own outright. Multi-agent workflows (planner → researcher → writer → critic) on the OpenAI and Anthropic Agents SDKs with MCP tooling.
Lead Engineer & Founder · TalkifAI
2025 — 2026Built and operated a multi-tenant voice AI platform end to end — agent orchestration, telephony, dashboard, docs, and billing. Provisioned for 20 concurrent live calls (~400 calls/hour) with per-call analytics on duration, recordings, and transcripts. Instrumented the full stack with automated end-to-end call testing and a public status page showing 99.9% uptime per component. Deployed for SIEHS, the Sindh government emergency health service, and for HealthCloud, with support for 90+ languages.
Instructor · PIAIC (Presidential Initiative for AI & Computing)
2024 — 2025Taught Python, TypeScript, FastAPI, and Next.js to 700+ students across cohorts of Pakistan's national AI and cloud computing training programme. Mentored developers moving into AI engineering, from language fundamentals through to building with LLMs.
Voice AI Developer (Contract) · OraSurge · United States
2024Sole developer for a US startup selling AI voice agents to dental clinics — built the product end to end and delivered it to production. Voice agent on Retell AI with Twilio telephony for inbound and outbound patient calls, backend on Azure, and custom middleware integrating with Open Dental so the agent could book appointments and answer enquiries against live practice records.
Developer & Founder · Orion
2021 — 2022Built the player-facing web platform — registration, onboarding, and player management — for a gaming venture lending in-game assets to teenage players on a revenue split. Scaled from an initial cohort funded with personal capital; players earned around PKR 30,000/month. Closed when the November 2022 crypto crash cut in-game earnings by roughly 99%.
Developer & Founder · Artistica
2020Built and shipped the platform end to end as sole developer — a marketplace bringing Karachi's Pakistan Chowk printers and accessory makers online. Closed after the marketplace did not reach the seller density it needed to work.
Founder & CEO · LabCloud · Acquired 2019
2015 — 2019Led development of a laboratory management platform covering sample intake through report delivery, plus a patient portal for online results. Sold into 30+ working laboratories and grew the business to acquisition in 2019. Recruited a CTO and led product and commercial direction. Operates today as HealthCloud with 70+ clients under its new owners — who later became a client of mine, buying Chatify in 2024.
