Overview
JobScout turns the job hunt around: build a strong resume first, then let an agent find the roles that actually fit. It pulls postings from across the web, scores each one against your profile, and explains why it fits — surfacing both the reasons and the concerns — so you spend your time applying instead of scrolling.
What it does
- Ranked matches, with reasons. Run a search and review roles ordered by fit, each annotated with why it matches and what to watch out for.
- Resume Studio. Import a PDF or DOCX, refine it with AI, get ATS-style feedback, and export a polished version.
- Tailored per application. It builds a base résumé from your background, then rewrites the résumé and cover letter for each role you apply to.
- Model-agnostic, local-first. Bring any AI provider — cloud or fully local — and keep your data on your own machine.
- Open source, no subscription. It runs locally on free-tier models, so a job search doesn't cost money you don't have while looking for work.
Built with Next.js and TypeScript, JobScout leans on retrieval to keep its match explanations grounded in the real posting rather than guesswork.
